Andrea Syphax, MS
Andrea Syphax has over 25 years of experience in behavioral health care administration, excelling in both executive and consulting roles. She has led operations and program development with a focus on licensing, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.
Andrea’s specialized expertise includes CARF accreditation, where she has guided programs to achieve 3-year accreditation in eight areas: Prevention, Assessment & Referral, Outpatient (adults and child & adolescent), Intensive Outpatient, Crisis Intervention, Crisis Call Center and Crisis Stabilization including mobile crisis teams.
Recently, Andrea provided cross-functional consultation to the Washington, D.C. Department of Behavioral Health and Harford County Office on Mental Health, helping seven programs develop successful survey practices. Prior to this, she led a CARF-accredited nonprofit agency in the D.C. area, offering integrated addiction/mental health services using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria.
Andrea holds an MS degree in Management from the University of Maryland and a BS degree in Zoology from Howard University.
